job as a pipefitter due to a layoff. He and his new
family are struggling to pay their bills, and and the
potential for them to lose their home or cars is there. Please pray for God to open the door to a more permanent job that may have benefits and
better pay, VERY SOON. Also, please pray
for the healing of our family and forgiveness of
any hurt feelings within our family. This has been a
very stressful time for our family, so am hoping it will be over soon, and in a good way. Thankyou for

Melinda and I were blessed by one of the greatest worship services at the Mississippi Campmeeting Wednesday night. We were honored to direct the mass choir and God came into the house. Bishop Tim Hill sang with us some great hymns from Anointed Praise 7 and we closed with I AM. Brother Hill preached a tremendous message and in the altar service we started singing I AM again and there was a tremendous move of God throughout the building.
Mississippi is blessed with so much talent and great singers. it was such a blessing to be small part of the service. After the service we of course went out to eat and following the meal on the way to the motel I noticed that my tire was almost flat. I went to the first service station and started inflate my tire.
A man drove up behind our car and asked if I had a dollar that I could give him. We pulled out a dollar and went to give it to him. He jumped out of the car with a gun that looked to me to be a 45 and pointed it at my head. He demanded us to give him everything that we had.
There was a tremendous calming spirit that came over both of us. We calmly gave him our wallets and pocket books, cell phones and a few other small things. A few minutes went by and Melinda just said out loud - JESUS,JESUS.
The gunman said, "What did she say." She repeated it by saying JESUS, JESUS. It was obvious that he was startled. I believe that he had planned to shoot us on the spot. But when he heard the name of Jesus he started moving backward.
He hesitated for a moment, which I really believe he was trying to get the courage to shoot. The Spirit of God was so strong on both of us. He just kept walking backward toward his car. He jumped in his car and left. There was another man with him that got into my car and took a few things of little importance.
There were also two girls with the two men. They all jumped into their car and sped away. Melinda and I looked at each other and raised our hands and gave thanks to the Lord. There was also a great jolt to our emotions when we realized just how close we came to facing death.
I can only tell you that we have kept God busy the past few weeks in the delivery department. He has delivered once again from death only 6 weeks after I had a blood clot hit my stomach through the mesinteric artery. The doctors have told me it should have killed me.
Melinda said I feel like God has everyone in the world in one hand and us in the other. I just believe that the devil is mad and hates to hear so many people singing and giving praise to God. But I am reminded that, "No Weapon formed against us will prosper"
Please continue to pray for us as we still have several campmeeting to attend this summer. We really cherish your friendship and prayers.
